Yachats,

Boasting a small population of about 625 residents,
Yachats is a little coastal town located a few miles north of Cape Perpetua.
This village is situated between the Pacific Ocean and beautiful mountain
forests. This village is near the Yachats River.
Fishing is a plenty in
the Yachats area. The area is well know for fishing
smelt. The Yachats River is home to trout and
freshwater salmon. Clamming is also excellent on the
beach.

This quaint village has ample lodging available and
campgrounds are nearby. Restaurants and diners are available and offer a wide
range of cuisine.

Cape Perpetua Scenic Area - Located south
of Yachats, this is the highest elevation on the Oregon Coast. Whale watching is
available and hiking trails are available.

The forest service offers guided tours
and historical exhibits are showcased in the visitors center.
Little Log Church
Museum - Enjoy viewing artifacts and local art.
An interesting shell collection is also on display.
Yachats Village
Mushroom Festival - This event is held in October
and is themed around the mushroom. Music and exhibits
make this great entertainment for the entire
family.
Yachats Covered
Bridge - Built in 1938 this bridge (pictured
above) is located on the Yachats River Road about 9
miles from town.
Yachats State
Recreation Area - Located within Yachats this
park is a great viewpoint for whales and the ocean
waves. Picnic tables are available and no fees are
charged.
Tillamook Air
Museum - Boasts a collection of about thirty
planes including the P51 Mustang and P38 Lightning. A
gift shop and cafe are also available.
