Located along the northern Oregon Coast, Rockaway
Beach is a small, quiet town known for it's beautiful sandy beaches. You can
find whale watching, campsites, fishing and outstanding kite flying. This is a
peaceful area where you can get away from the crowds and relax in a clean
atmosphere. You'll find the residents are friendly and will welcome you their
town.

Rockaway Beach became a town in 1911. It has a small
population of about 1300 people and is said to where the Pronto Pup corn dog was
created. The railway was connected to Portland in 1912 and the city chamber of
commerce is located in the Little Red Caboose in honor of the railway.

Located off Highway 101 to the north of town.

The ocean beach is just a short
hike from here. Picnic tables are available and it's a great place for a daytime
getaway.
Wine, Cheese and
All That Jazz - Held in June, this is a great
combination of live jazz musicians, food, wine
tasting and dancing.
Annual Kite
Festival - This event occurs in May. Enjoy kite
making and flying, music and food. Great outing for
the entire family.

include the Rockaway Beach Arts and Crafts Festival,
the Rockaway Beach 4th of July Activities and the
Autumn Festival.
