Reedsport,

Reedsport, Oregon is located
along the central Oregon coast, about 21 miles south of Florence and 25 miles
north of Coos Bay. This small community has a population of about 5000 people.
Reedsport is nestled in the middle of the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area.
Near Reedsport there are
several rivers including the Umpqua River and Smith River. If you are looking
for lakes there are many surrounding the area.

And, of course, don't forget
about the Pacific Ocean only about 4 miles away. Freshwater catches include
salmon, steelhead and varieties of bass. Oysters, clams and Dungeness Crab are
also available. Reedsport is well known for it's recreational fishing.

Deans
Creek Elk Viewing Habitat - Located about 3 miles east of Reedsport you can
have the opportunity to view Roosevelt Elk in their natural surroundings. It's
said that there are several hundred elk located in this area.

Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area - High sand dunes are to be found in
this forty mile long recreation area (pictured above). A good percentage of this area is open to
dune buggy enthusiasts and there are also miles of hiking trails. Dune buggy
rentals are available.
Oregon
Divisional Chainsaw Sculpture Championships - Held in June it showcases
masterpieces of some of the best carvers around.
Umpqua
Lighthouse - During the summer tours are available. There is also a
observation deck if you are interested in whale watching.
