Port Orford, Oregon is
located along the coast, about 29 miles north of Gold
Beach. It has a population of about 1200 residents
and is known as the most westernmost point in the
continental United States. It is a old town
surrounded with beautiful scenery and spectacular
ocean views. Port Orford has a history of being a
fishing and lumber port.
Located near Port
Orford, Oregon are the Sixes and Elk Rivers which are
known for great fishing where salmon and steelhead
are a plenty. In the middle of the town you'll find
Garrison Lake.

It is about 130 acres in size and you find a variety
of fish including chinook salmon and trout. Charter boats are also available if
you want to adventure into the Pacific Ocean for deep sea fishing.

camping and hiking are all available. It's located just 11 miles of Port Orford
and sits on about 1880 acres.

Hughes House -
This historical structure was built in 1898. Get a
look at some local history with a guided tour through
this Victorian style house.
Cape Blanco
Lighthouse - This lighthouse is rich in history.
It was opened in 1870 and sits high above the sea.
It's 64 stairs to reach the lantern room. From this
view point you can see for miles and may also be able
to spot whales.
Battle Rock State
Park - Named after a battle between Native
American Indians and white settlers. Hike the trails
to the beautiful beach area and view Battle Rock, a
huge rock that sits on the shore. For the adventurous
you can climb the rock for a outstanding view of the
area.
Humbug Mountain -
A state park that offers a campground and several
hiking trails. It is located south of Port Orford.
Pack a lunch and hike the trail leading to the top of
Humbug Mountain.
