Pacific Ocean on the Columbia River. It has a
population of about 10,000 people and is of a
Scandinavian heritage. It is rich in beauty with
Victorian homes and steep hills. The downtown

Flavel House Museum
- This is a three story Victorian Home located in
Astoria that was built in 1885.

park on a hill. It offers a spectacular view of
Astoria, Oregon.
Astoria-Megler
Bridge - This long bridge spans the Columbia
River from Astoria, Oregon to Point Ellice,
Washington. It is over 4 miles in length.

Scandinavian
Midsummer Festival - This is usually held in June
in Astoria. Activities include music, dancing,
costumes, a walking parade, Scandinavian food and of
course a beer garden. This is a three day long event.
Astoria Uppertown
Firefighters Museum - This building was
constructed in 1986. It showcases old firefighting
equipment, motorized and horse drawn vehicles and old
photos. It also has a children's museum located on
the second floor.
